1)  Q What are FABS hours?
A
FABS is open from 6 AM until 6:30 PM
2)  Q What are the costs?
A
The school year registration fee is $15 per child or $40 per family.
The hourly rate is $3.00 an hour for the first child each additional
sibling is $2.50 an hour.
There is a one hour minimum charge. After the first hour the fees are calculated to the half-hour.
The maximum daily charge is $30.00 for the 1st child, $25.00 for each additional sibling (10 hours or more in any particular day).
Accounts are NOT allowed to be behind- once notification has been sent that your account is behind the child(ren) will be refused care until the account is brought up-to-date.
3)  Q When is FABS closed?
A
FABS is closed on holiday vacations-
Labor Day, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Easter break, Memorial Day and 4th of July.
FABS is open on school days off for teacher's professional development.
We are open 1/2 days, snow days and during the summer providing our enrollment and attendance are adequate to remain open.
4)  Q How are payments made?
A
When you turn in a schedule for next weeks childcare needs- you also make a payment for the estimated dollar amount for that scheduled time.
Payments can be cash, check, money order or through "Pay School". Cash should be in a sealed envelope with the date, your name, your child's name and the amount enclosed. Checks should be made out to North Branch Area Schools or
N.B.A.S. Receipts are written out to the person whose signature is on the check or the parent named on the cash envelope. Receipts are sent home with students on the 1st Monday of every month with your account statement and monthly newsletter.
5)  Q What is a NC/NS charge?
A
If your child(ren) is scheduled to come on any certain day and doesn't the staff is supposed to find that child. If the staff takes time away from the children attending, to find a child who wasn't called in, their account will reflect a No Call/No Show charge. This charge is $5 on regular school days or the full dollar amount scheduled during the summer &/OR on scheduled snowdays.
6)  Q Do I have to provide lunch for my child?
A
Providing meals is the parent's responsibility.
During school days- you have the option of purchasing breakfast &/or lunch from the school cafeteria.
Cafeteria accounts are separate from FABS accounts and need to be set up by the parent/guardian.
Please call food services to make sure your child has an account set up BEFORE trying to purchase breakfast OR lunch in the cafeteria. Call (810) 688-2226 to speak with food service staff.
7)  Q When will the "Summer FABS" registrations be available?
A
Sometime in April - Summer registrations packets
will be available at the center.
8)  Q If my children are currently enrolled for FABS do I need to register them for summer?
A
Yes, all children who will be coming to FABS during the summer need to register for the summer program. The child information and permission and agreement forms need to be reviewed for accuracy and a summer registration form will need to be filled out. There is a $5 "per child" registration fee and all students need to have a FABS t-shirt, they can be purchased at this time if your child doesn't have/or has out grown last years.
9)  Q Where is FABS located in the Elementary School?
A
FABS is located in rooms 602 & 610 in the 4th grade Elm Creek wing.
10)  Q How does my Ruth Fox student get to/from his/her school to FABS?
A
The Ruth Fox students will be walking through the paved walkway to & from FABS.
11)  Q Where do I park to drop off & pick up my child(ren)?
A
Before and after school parents can park in the bus drop off/ pick up lot.
During the school day 8 AM- 4:00 PM parents need to park in front of the school and enter through the front entrance.
12)  Q Does FABS accept DHS child care assisstance?
A
Yes, FABS does accept DHS child care assistance.
All child care fees must be paid by the parent (care giver)
until DHS approval is received.
13)  Q Can my child ride the bus into/from FABS?
A
If the parents "OK" bus transportation through the
transportation dept. 688-3660 FABS can get students
off the AM bus or put them on the PM bus.

No. FABS staff need a break. The rooms and hallways need to be thoroughly cleaned.
