Application for U.S. Space snd Rocket Center
What/Where: U.S. Space and Rocket Center Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama
When: June 22nd - 27th, 2014
Cost: There will be no cost to the students selected. Air Fare and the $949 Camp Tuition will be paid for by the Ruth Fox/Middle School Space Camp Committee. In the event that a student does not attend (for whatever reason), parents must reimburse the Space Camp Committee for the cost of the air fare.
Who Can Apply: Fifth - Eighth Grade students who attend North Branch Area Schools. At the time of camp students that are ages 9-11 will attend Space Camp and students that are ages 12-14 will attend Space Academy.
Deadline for applications: Monday, March 24, 2014 - hand in at either the Ruth Fox or Middle School office.

K-12 NBAS teachers interested in applying for the 2014 Teacher Technology Institute with Dr. Troy Hicks, please complete and submit an application by clicking on the following link.

Families are invited to attend the celebration of their student's accomplishments during their career at Ruth Fox Elementary.
I Can Make History 2014
Help Kroger celebrate Black History Month with their 7th annual "I Can Make History" contest. Kroger will award prizes in four categories - art, essay, music and poetry, with students invited to submit entries for one or more categories. All entries must be received by 5PM, Friday, February 28th, 2014. Winners will be invited to an awards luncheon held Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Entry forms are available in the Ruth Fox Office. Students need to mail their own entries prior to February 28th.

Immunization requirements for incoming 6th graders!
Your child must be up-to-date on vaccinations before school begins.

The State of Michigan changed the immunization requirements in the 2010-2011 school year. All 6th graders and new students that enroll with North Branch Area Schools have new immunization requirements mandated by the state. Please review the attached flyer and verify with your medical provider that your child has had ALL the required shots. If you find your child needs updates, you may contact your health provider or the Lapeer County Health Department for the shots. http://lchd.lapeer.org/Immunizations.php
NOTE: Sixth graders will be required to have these vaccinations before they will be allowed to attend sixth grade so you may want to be talking about this with your healthcare provider!!!!

Blockbuster's Good Grades, Free Rental
Any student grades K-12 with a B average or better can bring their original report card signed by a parent or legal guardian to a participating BLOCKBUSTER store and receive one free BLOCKBUSTER Favorites movie rental.
