COMPASS - Gifted and Accelerated

COMPASS - Gifted and Accelerated Learning North Branch Area Schools is very excited to continue it's Gifted and Accelerated initiative into the 2019-2020 school year for 2nd through 6th grade students, The COMPASS (Creating Opportunities to Meet Potential And Stretch Skills) program was established in 2017 and has been designed to uniquely meet the needs of our gifted/accelerated learners.

2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teams - Housed in North Branch Elementary - Accelerated Curriculum - Technology Integration (Chromebooks) - Project-Based Learning

5th and 6th Grade Teams - Housed in the Ruth Fox Middle School - Accelerated Curriculum - Technology integration (IPADS, Chromebooks) - Project-Based Learning

Application Process

  1. Complete and submit the COMPASS online application by March 26th @ 4:00pm.
  2. Send into the NBE office, the $10 assessment fee, in a "COMPASS" marked envelope, with your child's name. Checks may be made out of "NBAS". Assessment scholarships are available, contact Mrs. Rae for more info.
  3. Your child will be assessed during school, unless you are a current out of district family that will be applying Schools of Choice.
