FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
I am pleased to introduce Officer Jim Wampler as the School Liaison Officer.  Officer Wampler is a North Branch Police officer assigned to our school buildings every day because the Board of Education believes the safety and security of our students and staff is a priority.  Officer Wampler is an integral part of the Board’s proactive and preventative plan to insure safe learning environments.  The Board recently hires School Nurse Patricia Laur and now has every employee of the district is trained in CPR/First Aid, Automated External Defibrillators and EpiPens.  Officer Wampler will also work with all students to educate them about a new anonymous reporting process that is being rolled out from the Michigan State police and the Attorney General’s Office called “Okay to Say”.  This will provide anyone the opportunity to report suspicious or unwanted behavior to the authorities 24 hours a day seven days a week.  Officer Wampler can be reached at
[email protected].
