North Branch Area Schools Launches Great Start Readiness Program for the Fall of 2025 

North Branch Area Schools is excited to announce the launch of its Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), a state-funded preschool initiative aimed at providing high-quality early childhood education to 4-year-olds. This program aligns with Governor Whitmer’s Preschool for All initiative, which seeks to ensure that every child in Michigan has access to preschool education.

The GSRP at North Branch Area Schools is designed to offer a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop essential skills in preparation for kindergarten. The program emphasizes a play-based curriculum that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development as well as education in literacy, math, social studies & science.

While implementing this program, North Branch Area Schools is committed to maintaining a respectful and collaborative relationship with other preschool and daycare providers in the community. Please carefully review all your options above (e.g., Little Learners for 3 and 4-year-olds, Head Start for 3 to 5-year-olds, and FABS Child Care) to determine what's best for your child and family.

The district recognizes the valuable role all providers play in supporting families and children and aims to complement their efforts rather than compete with them. By working together, North Branch Area Schools and local daycare providers can create a cohesive network of early childhood education options that benefit all families in the area.
